About Me
Hey there! My name is Alex, I’m a queer trans man born and raised in Montreal. I’ve always wanted to create a safe space for queer folks in some way or another.
Back when Covid hit, I injured myself and became a chronic pain sufferer overnight. My entire world changed in the blink of an eye, and I would never be the same because of it. I was bedridden for years, in physiotherapy for over 10 months, and went through tons of tests and doctor’s appointments to figure out what was wrong with me. I’m doing much better now, but it’s still something I’ll have to live with for the rest of my life.

Ever since then, I promised myself that when I was healed, I would do everything I could to get my life back. And creating a community of queer people, in a city where I know no one, sounded like a dream. So for the past couple months, I’ve been slowly putting together the details for this project and I am so excited to finally share it with all of you.
My Queer Journey
I’ve always known something was different about me, I just never knew what it was for a long time.
I realized I was bi/pansexual when I was around 14. From around 15 to 20, I struggled with my sexuality and felt that I was completely asexual. I felt comfortable under the terms “biromantic asexual,” and that served me well for many years. I'm still unsure of where I fall under the ace umbrella, or if I even fit in it at all anymore, but I’m definitely still pansexual.
As for my gender, I came out as genderqueer when I was 14, which I went by for two years until I realized I was trans right after my 16th birthday. I had a very “out and proud” phase about my gender until I realized I didn’t want my transness to completely define me. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course, I just want people to look at me and see so much more than just “trans.” I’m just a guy. A dude. A boy.
Anyway, to sum up my journey, I just prefer to say I’m a queer man. Queer, to me, is the comfiest label I’ve ever used. It encompasses all of me! And I love it. And yeah, that’s me.
My Professional Background
I’ve been working on passion projects ever since I was about 13. I started with founding and managing a virtual business, moved on to content creation on various platforms, and then to becoming a magazine editor and event planner. So many things! But, funnily enough, they’ve all managed to somehow go hand in hand throughout the years — and this is where it’s led me.
I temporarily went to college for Business Administration and Marketing before I dropped out due to my injury, but I have plans to go back one day and I’d love to own my own crystal store / other business sometime down the road.
As for now, this group is my main focus while I work and save up money to move out on my own. I’m super excited to start this new chapter of my life, and to get to make tons of new friends at the same time. :)
A little about me
Now let’s get into some more lighthearted things, hm?

I’m a Gemini sun, Leo moon and Scorpio rising — for all my astrology cuties out there.
I’m a cat dad to a spoiled little princess who likes to act independent, but is actually a big sook at heart.
I love games! Some of my favorites are Genshin Impact, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, Fortnite, Mario Kart, and more. I play games on my phone and my Switch! I love cozy games, but I mostly enjoy getting to spend time with friends on multiplayer games.
I’m obsessed with music! I have upwards of 50 playlists posted/in the works on Spotify, and I’m constantly listening to music pretty much at all times. Anything to keep the thoughts out, if you get me, lmao.
If you have any other questions for me, feel free to ask them!
